There is a reason so many Christians today keep journals. When writing, we get the chance to actually see our words in front of us. We can see them come to live. If we read scripture while journaling, we have whatever lesson we learned go through us twice. So why don’t we pray through writing as well? Many people do, but many people have never even considered it. When praying to the Lord, writing down your prayer can help visualize your words in a whole new way. Look at the prayer one young woman of God wrote out below. Notice the depth of which she is speaking to God. By writing down her prayer, she was able to worship God in a whole new way. Anyone who enjoys quiet time with a cup of coffee, a pencil, and some paper will surely benefit from this type of worship.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7
Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy! Psalms 99:5
